[English]  Parks Canada wishes to acknowledge THE FRIENDS OF JASPER NATIONAL PARK ASSOCIATION for the restoration work on this recognized Federal Heritage Building. Built in 1949, it served until 1972 as Jasper National Parks original information centre.

The Friends of Jasper National Park is a non-profit organization which promotes understanding, appreciation and respect for Jasper National Park.

[Français]  Parcs Canada désire remercier L'ASSOCIATION DES AMIS DU PARC NATIONAL JASPER pour les travaux de restauration de cet édifice fédéral du patrimoine. Érigé en 1949, il a été le premier centre d'information du parc national Jasper et a été utilisé à cette fin jusqu’en 1972.

LES AMIS DU PARC NATIONAL JASPER est un organisme sans but lucratif qui a pour mandat de promouvoir la compréhension, l’appréciation et le respect du parc national Jasper.

1913-1914 — Jasper Park Administration Building is built using a rustic architectural style. The ground floor accommodates the superintendent s Living quarters and administration office, while the upper floor hosts a library, museum, and drafting room. The basement houses a fish hatchery

1949 — A small information centre is built across from the administration building, beside the railroad tracks. This building later housed Friends of Jasper.
1972 — Jasper Information centre operations are moved into Jasper Park Administration Building, Jasper's most recognized structure. The building continues welcoming visitors from all over the world to this day.
