1. Adrinka Symbols Marker
Inscription. The people of West Africa used Adinkra symbols to adorn cloth which African royals wore to important ceremonies. Originating from the Gyaman people of Ghana and la Côte d'Ivoire, the symbols have assumed global importance and are now found in logos, clothes, furniture, sculpture, and many others.

In honor of this rich African tradition, the Bronzeville Neighborhood Farm has chosen several symbols that reflect the values we strive to cultivate as we work the land. Organic food production is an important part of our pratice but so is the production of a cultural estethic that reflects the social fabric of our community.
