Regarding Cold Springs School & Cemetery. National Register Statement of Significance:
Cold Springs School house is one of the last log school houses in the state. It is well restored, a fine example of early educational techniques on the frontier. In addition. Cold Springs School house served its community as a meetinghouse, church, and dance hall. It remained the center of community affairs for 63 years, long enough to see one man educated, married,
and sometime after his 50th wedding anniversary (celebrated at the school), mourned. He was buried in the cemetery nearby.
