"The Guardian"
by Robin Laws
The Guardian Sheep Dog bronze is presented by Marietta Dinneen in honor of the Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) W-Heels. The W-Heels, organized in 1941, are women volunteers, part of the CFD Parade Committee, who are involved with the parade's historic carriages. W-Heels support the activities of CFD and the Old West Museum. Like the "Guardian" sheep dog, W-Heels are guardians of the carriages in the CFD parades.
Erected 2022 by Marietta Dinneen and City of Cheyenne.
