1. Hampton Marker
Inscription. A 1700 industrial and mill settlement. Wawayanda Inn built in 1866, a store and stage coach stop. Mason’s store established 1917.

Location. 41° 24.717′ N, 74° 23.671′ W. Marker is in New Hampton, New York, in Orange County. Marker is on County Road 50 (County Route 50) half a mile north of New York 17M (New York State Route 17M), on the left when traveling north. The Erie Railroad Mainline, once the major transcontinental line connecting the New York Port and New England to the Pacific Coast, lies just on the other side of the old Inn.
