Tuttle's (1st) Brig., W.H.L.Wallace's (2d) Div.,
Army of the Tennessee.
This regiment, facing by rear rank, was engaged here about 5 p.m. April 6, 1862. After a short engagement the enemy withdrew and this regiment continued its retreat to 41st Ill. camp.
