Army of the Mississippi.

These regiments were engaged here from about 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 6, 1862 and then advanced to Crescent Field.

Marker can be reached from the intersection of Corinth Road and Hamburg-Purdy Road, on the left when traveling south. 100 yards south of crossroads on a wide trail leading toward the Sherman's HQ tablet(H).
