1. Sugarloaf Massacre Marker
Inscription. After an unsuccessful attack on Fort Augusta, Indians and Tories surprise a detachment of Northumberland Co. militia on Sept. 11, 1780. The site of the massacre is just beyond the town.
 
Erected 1947 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
