of Kansas in memory of the
first W. M. & Founder of
Smithton Lodge No. 1 A.F.&A.M.

This monument was erected by the M. W. Grand
Lodge of A.F.&A.M. of Kansas in 1926 to replace
a beautiful symbolic metal shaft destroyed by
the elements and which was erected by the
Grand Lodge and Smithton Lodge No. 1 in 1878

Erected 1926 by Masonic Grand Lodge of Kansas.
