Location. Marker has been permanently removed. It was located near 41° 21.025′ N, 72° 6.061′ W. Marker was in New London in Southeastern Region, Connecticut. It was at the intersection of Bank Street and Howard Street, on the left when traveling east on Bank Street. Touch for map. 1. Monument is no longer present.
On June 16, 2020 the statue COLOMBO was removed after a vote by the city council. New London's mayor Michael Passero said that the statue had become "a lightning rod for civil discontent". I do not currently know where this statue is housed and no other statue is in it's place as of March 2024. Note To Editor only visible by Contributor and editor
