1. Bellingham-Cary Mansion Marker

Inscription. Six hundred feet from this point is the mansion built by Governor Richard Bellingham in 1659, rebuilt and enlarged by Samuel Cary in 1791. Here Washington stationed the last outpost of the left wing of the Continental Army besieging Boston.

Erected 1930 by Massachusetts Bay Colony-Tercentenary Commission.
