1. King William's School Marker
Inscription. This tablet was fixed on McDowell Hall in 1946 to commemorate the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the founding of King William's School. To this hall in 1785, in the second year of the foundation of St. John's College, came the students and masters of the school, with their books, and made one with the new college. This will remind men that all halls of learning are one hall.
