4. Saint Peter’s Church
This church, dating from 1767, was used as an Army hospital by French General Rochambeau in 1781-82, before and after the Battle of Yorktown in Virginia. General George Washington often attended service here.

This monument marks the grave of John Paulding. He was one of the soldiers who captured British spy Maj. John Andre, who conspiratored with Benedict Arnold to take West Point.
