Location. 35° 1.669′ N, 88° 47.833′ W. Memorial is near Pocahontas, Tennessee, in Hardeman County. It can be reached from Essary Springs Road 1.1 miles south of Wolf Pen Road, on the left when traveling east. The monument is part of a small cemetery on the trail leading to the battlefield at the Hatchie River. There is a small parking area and interpretive signage at the start of the trail. 4. Graves of Federal soldiers
These three graves are located behind the monument. The two on the left are soldiers from the 5th Ohio Cavalry and the stone on the right was a Lieutenant, Company E, 53 Illinois Infantry.
