Inscription. Dedicated to the Memory of the following Riegelsville Volunteers buried at Riegelsville Cemetery.

All enlisted August 8, 1862 Company C, 128th Reg. PA Volunteers All fought at the Battle of Antietam, Sept. 17, 1862:

Pvt. John B. Kerbaugh - killed
Pvt. Jonas Nixon - died Oct. 4, 1862 from wounds
Pvt. Frederick Crouse - wounded, returned & became town's 1st Postmaster
