The John Blair House
Circa 1835
John Blair was a Justice of the Peace and owner of the schooner, Edward. He paid $352 for the lot and its improvements in 1842. In 1848 the Blair property was sold to Samuel Johnson. Over the years, other owners included George S. Payne, George Washington Purnell and the Thebaud family. In recent years it was part of the River House Inn, Bed and Breakfast. It is now privately owned.
