More about this marker. There is a duplicate marker at the south end of the park. The original stage coach road runs north to south between these signs.
Regarding Oasis Park. The 46-mile Pinellas Rail Trail runs through Oasis Park beside the old stage coach road. Oasis park is a Ό-mile stretch of parkway set aside to preserve and exhibit remnants of the original stage coach road from the 1920's. You can see portions of the original dirt road as well as sections of asphalt bricks later used to pave the roadway.
