37th ARRS Memorial. 11 June 1982. On 11 June 1982, six Airmen perished while performing missile convoy duty. , This memorial is to remind those who serve to defend our nation of the ultimate sacrifice these men made fulfilling their commitment to peace and freedom. , This memorial is dedicated in memory of the two pilots assigned to Detachment 9, 37th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron and the four Security Policemen assigned to the 352nd Missile Security Squadron.

BELL UH-1F "IROQUOIS"
The UH-1F model 214 helicopter was used as a support aircraft. It was used in the missile field to provide security and maintenance support, and was affectionately nicknamed "Huey". It could carry up to 9 passengers and a crew of 2: a pilot and copilot.
The UH-1F on display was placed here and dedicated in memoriam in 1984. It was last flown at F.E. Warren as missile support, where its primary mission was to transport cargo and personnel to and from missile sites, and its secondary mission was to recover aircrew members, and search and rescue of personnel and/or hardware. It was built in 1965 and had flown over 6000 hours before leaving the Air Force inventory in 1980.
