2. Westfield Avenue Marker
The Abraham Terrill Tavern served travelers in colonial times. At that time, St Georges Avenue was known as the King's Highway or County Road to Elizabethtown, and was along a primary route between Philadelphia and New York.

The Terrill Tavern is located behind the Merchants and Drovers Tavern, where Washington was entertained in 1789, while on his way to his inauguration in New York. This photo was taken from the same place as was the one above.
