Type: Light TankUsed since 1945 by armored units, especially reconnaissance battalions. U.S. Constabulary units were authorized these tanks in conducting their operations and maintaining the peace in post-war Germany and Austria. The tank offered greater firepower and thicker armor than the earlier M5 light tank.
