1. Site of Toll Gate Marker

Inscription. On this site was located one of the early toll booths for the Buffalo - Batavia Plank Road laid out by Joseph Ellicott, and the plank road towards Lancaster and Alden. The toll was later moved west about 400 feet. It was abandoned in the early 1900's.

Erected 1975 by Town of Cheektowaga.
