1. Nicholas Provôt Marker
Inscription. "The Father of Jeanerette." Buried here September 12, 1816. One of the area’s first landowners. Town of Jeanerette grew up on site of his plantation. His descendants have been prominent in local history.
 
Erected 1979 by Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
