Old Mill of Guilford
Circa 1767
Original water-powered mill built on nearby Beaver Creek to grind grain for early settlers. Reportedly seized by British troops prior to Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Mill moved downstream to current location and first waterwheel added 1818. Current waterwheel added in 1950s. Among the oldest operating gristmills in the U.S.
