Location. 34° 56.152′ N, 85° 15.559′ W. Marker is in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Marker is on Lafayette Road south of Alexander Bridge Road, on the left when traveling south. This maker is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, The marker is located along the main road that runs north to south through the national park, a short distance south of the national park's visitor's center.
