Location. 34° 56.001′ N, 85° 15.336′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Memorial is at the intersection of Battleline Road and Alexander Bridge Road, on the right when traveling south on Battleline Road. This monument is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, The monument is located at the extreme northern end of the line of mostly Union monuments, markers, and tablets that are situated along the park's Battleline Road. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service the, “Monument located within the Chickamauga Battlefield along Battleline Road, map site #55”. Touch for map. More about this marker. According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the monument is, “6' x 3' x 9', monument consists of rock-faced base and round-topped relief slab. Relief is of infantryman kneeling behind log breastwork in firing position with forest in background. Unit name inscribed below relief.”

I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the monument number for this marker and the marker's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets.
