2. Captain Bettin Marker
On January 1, 1781, the soldiers of the Pennsylvania Line, who were encamped at Jockey Hollow mutinied over lack of pay and supplies. Capt. Bettin was killed after confronting the mutineers.

3. Marker on Jockey Hollow Road
The mutinous soldiers were surrounded as they marched on Trenton. A leader of each regiment was tried and convicted for Mutiny. Two of these were executed. The firing squad was composed of the remaining convicted soldiers.
