2. Grenada County Confederate Monument Marker (Rear)
and boots. He stands atop a multitiered pedestal with inscriptions on all four sides. The back of the pedestal also mounts a relief plaque with a bust of Jefferson Davis. The front of the pedestal has reliefs of a Confederate flag above the raised inscriptions and two crossed swords below. One side of the pedestal has a relief of a wind-swept Confederate flag.

1. Monument Removed
The monument was removed on September 11, 2024. A Time capsule was discovered in the cornerstone of the base according to WTVA news. Reports indicate it will be moved to another location within the city.
