Stones River Region Car Club, AACA. . The Stones River Region Car Club received a charter from the Antique Automobile Club of America in January, 1973. Search soon began for a permanent meeting place. Cannonsburgh Pioneer Village was under development at the time, and a 1920's-era service station was proposed to Mayor Westbrooks. He agreed to the proposal and stepped off an area for this purpose. The agreement was sealed with a handshake.
Exterior wood for the building was hand-cut from a farm in Cannon County and cured using turn-of-the-century methods. All museum memorabilia was either purchased or donated. The conference room accommodates 70 people for club meetings and various actives. The Stones River Region AACA is a family-oriented organization for those interested in antique cars and trucks.
