Jamestown Shale Paving Brick Co.
ca 1893 - ca 1935 Shale, quarried here, was sent by conveyor across the river where up to fifteen million bricks per year were produced for markets that included Jamestown's red brick streets. Deterioration of the kilns led to the demise of the company.
