The Battery engaged a battery of the enemy near Alexander's Bridge at 3 P.M. of the 18th, firing nine rounds. At 9 A.M. of the 19th it moved to the front near Hall's Tower, firing 2 rounds. When the Brigade charged about 3:30 P.M. of the 19th, the Battery by order of general Stewart remained in its position. At dark the Battery was ordered to Alexander's Bridge with 4 pieces of artillery and 1 caisson reported captured by the Brigade, and encamped there for the night. Took position in line with the Brigade at 8 A.M. of the 20th. At 5:30 P.M. moved with the Brigade to this position and opened a rapid and destructive fire upon the enemy, who was then retiring from the field. Casualties: 1 man killed; 13 men wounded; 8 horses killed and 7 wounded.
