The Battery with Meg's and Carlin's Brigades of Davis' Division arrived at Widow Glenn's soon after noon and reported to General Rosecrans. The Division was ordered to the front and soon became hotly engaged with the enemy in the timber northeast of Viniard's. The Battery came into position on this ground, by order of General Davis, and remained during the afternoon without becoming seriously engaged, and encamped on this part of the field during the night. The Battery was not actively engaged on the 20th and retired to McFarland's Gap soon after noon, and to Rossville at night. No casualties.

Location. 34° 54.417′ N, 85° 16.339′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Walker County. Marker can be reached from Glenn-Viniard Road north of Wilder Road, on the right when traveling north. This tablet is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, a short distance off a park roadway (Google maps show road as Vittitoe-Chickamauga Road, NPS map show road as Glenn-Viniard Road), between the roadway and a nearby parking lot, south of the Wilder Tower. I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this tablet and the tablet's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets. According to the map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System).”
