1. Clotilda Plantation Marker
New paint.
Inscription. Francis G. Barker, a commission merchant and sugar planter of New Orleans, purchased this site in 1874. His father, Benjamin Barker, came to Louisiana in 1839. Frank L. Barker, Francis' son, built the main house around 1907. The Barkers were also associated with Ravenswood, Melodia, and Laurel Valley Plantations.
 
Erected 1994 by Lafourche Heritage Society.
