En esta casa nacio el 13 de marzo de 1787 el ilustre marino campechano, Don Pedro Sainz de Baranda y Borreyro, consumador de la independencia nacional, a quien el pueblo y gobierno de Campeche rinden merecido homenaje y reconocimiento.

English translation:
In this house on March 13, 1787 was born the illustrious seaman from Campeche, Pedro Sainz de Baranda y Borreyro, one of the final participants in the struggle for national independence, to whom the people and government of Campeche given a deserved tribute and recognition.
