C.S. Company C,. 1st Tennessee Heavy Artillery;.
Capt. H.T. Norman . The company served one 9-inch Dahlgren gun in a position, not in the park, immediately west of the Harwood house and about 66 yards west of this tablet from May 18 to about June 29, when the gun, with a detachment from the company, was ordered to a work in rear of the left of Moore's brigade, where it was served until disabled by the fire of the Union batteries, about July 1. The company also served one Whitworth rifle on the river front from May 18 to about May 26 when the rifle, with a detachment from the company under Lieut. S. M. Allen, was ordered to an undetermined position on the rear line, where it was served to the end of the defense, July 4, 1863.
