Location. 34° 55.792′ N, 85° 15.565′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia , in Catoosa County. Marker is on LaFayette Road north of Poe Road, on the right when traveling north. This marker is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, along the park's main north to south roadway, in the Kelly Field. More about this marker. According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the marker is, “6'9" x 6'9" x 7', pyramidal blue Westerly granite mon. has rock-faced base. Smooth-faced sides accented w/ rock-faced blocks & have polished inscribed panels. Small crossed cannon tubes carved at top; bronze sponge staffs at 4 corners."

According to the map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System).”
