Liddell's Brigade, - Colonel Daniel C. Govan.
Walthall's Brigade, - Brigadier General Edward C. Walthall.
At noon this Division was sent forward with Walker's Division to replace Breckinridge's Division which had been repulsed in its attack on the Union left. Walthall's Brigade attacked the line northeast of the Kelly Field and on the left of Colquitt's Brigade both being repulsed. Liddell's brigade was first sent to the support of Adam's and Stovall's Brigades of Breckinridge's Division when they were being driven back from the rear of the Union line in the Kelly Field but did not reach that ground till after Breckinridge's repulse and about 5 p.m. the Division advanced to the LaFayette Road and crossed it at McDonald's House. Here its line was at first enfiladed and forced back but soon recrossed the LaFayette Road and bivouacked in the fields about the McDonald House.
