1. Wildman Mine Marker
Inscription. Founded by William T. Wildman in 1851. Merged with Mahoney Mine and reached a depth of 1500 feet. Combined mines operated a 70 stamp mill and produced a total of $5 million in old by 1924. Powder house used to store explosives. Became part of Lincoln Consolidated. Co.
 
Erected 2004 by Amador County 2004 Sesquicentennial - Sutter Creek 1854 – 2004 Promotion Committee, Amador County.
 
Location. 38° 23.755′ N, 120° 48.153′ W. Marker is in Sutter Creek, California, in Amador County. Marker can be reached from Gopher Flat Road. Touch for map. Marker and Powder House are located at the north end of the parking lot on Gopher Hill Road, east of the Post Office.
