To the people of Grenada in grateful remembrance of the fraternal Christian hospitality shown to passengers and crew of the Italian Liner Bianca C destroyed by fire in this harbor on October 22, 1961
Dedicated by the Costa Line of Genoa, Italy

Location. 12° 3.142′ N, 61° 45.013′ W. Marker is in St. George's, Saint George. Marker is on Wharf Road just west of Tanteen Road, on the left when traveling west. Touch for map. Touch for directions.

The marker's monument is known locally as the "Christ of the Deep". It was originally sculpted by Guido Galletti in 1954, but this version was cast from the same mold in 1961. It is also known as the "Christ of the Abyss" and was originally placed near this same location but underwater.
