1. Baruch Home Marker
Inscription. On this site stood the birthplace and boyhood home of Bernard M. Baruch (1870-1965), financier, philanthropist, and adviser to presidents. He was instrumental in establishing the Camden Hospital, with opened in 1913, as a tribute to his father, Dr. Simon Baruch, surgeon in the Confederate Army and later a pioneer in medicine in New York.
 
Erected 1978 by City of Camden. (Marker Number 28-8.)
 
Location. 34° 14.917′ N, 80° 36.445′ W. Marker is in Camden, South Carolina, in Kershaw County. Marker is at the intersection of Broad Street (U.S. 521) and Walnut Street, on the right when traveling south on Broad Street. Touch for map.
