This monument is dedicated to the 99 gallant men who went
down with their ship 400 miles southwest of the Azores
declared lost June 5, 1968

 
Location. 37° 1.231′ N, 76° 27.238′ W. Marker is in Newport News, Virginia. Marker can be reached from Kawana Circle 0.1 miles west of Biggins Circle, on the right when traveling west. Touch for map.
