Erected 1896 by State of Missouri. (Marker Number MT-206.)
 
Marker series. This marker is included in the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Bragg Reservation marker series.
 
Location. 35° 1.145′ N, 85° 15.806′ W. Marker is in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in Hamilton County. Marker is on South Crest Road south of East Main Street, on the left when traveling south. Touch for map. This monument is located on Missionary Ridge, in the Bragg Reservation. Once you have entered the Bragg Reservation you will find this monument on the west side of the parking area, along the old Ridge Road that runs through the Bragg Reservation. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service, “Monument located on Missionary Ridge at the Bragg Reservation/1934 Map 136-32.". Marker is in this post office area: Chattanooga TN 37404, United States of America.

According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the monument is, “7' x 2'6" x 7' high granite monument at Bragg Reservation consists of rectangular slab set on two-step base with an projecting capstone. Stones of base are rock-faced, while main slab is polished and inscribed.”
