1. Provincial Courthouse Marker
Inscription. Continental Congress held its session, Sept. 30, 1777 - June 28, 1778 in Courthouse which stood in the center of this square. Here, Treaties with France and Articles of Confederation were adopted.
 
Erected by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
 
Location. 39° 57.743′ N, 76° 43.644′ W. Marker is in York, Pennsylvania, in York County. Marker is at the intersection of East Market Street and South George Street, on the left when traveling east on East Market Street. Touch for map.
