1. Kennedy Mills Marker
Inscription. First commercial enterprise in southeastern Chautauqua County Doctor Thomas Ruston Kennedy built first mill October 1805 after purchase of 3000 acres in the area which became the Town of Poland
 
Erected 2005 by (Chautauqua County?) Bicentennial.
 
Location. 42° 9.352′ N, 79° 6.107′ W. Marker is in Kennedy, New York, in Chautauqua County. Marker is on Frewsburg Road (U.S. 62) 0.2 miles south of Jamestown Road (New York State Route 394). Touch for map. Marker is at the north end of a bridge over Conewango Creek (see photos). Marker is in this post office area: Kennedy NY 14747, United States of America.
