Regarding Memorial to Héctor Interiano, Carlos Cuevas and Gustavo Castañón. In May, 1984, agents of the Guatemalan dictatorship government disappeared many leaders of the Association of University Students of the University of San Carlos, including these three mentioned on the marker. They were never seen or heard from again. The placing of this marker near where they were kidnapped was part of the resolution of a legal case against the Guatemalan Government.
