Inscription.
Evans Parkway Neighborhood Park is the first Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission park certified by the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES).

SITES was created to transform land development and management practices through the nation's first voluntary guidelines and rating system for sustainable landscapes. Sustainable landscapes reduce water demand, filter and reduce storm water runoff, provide wildlife habitat, reduce energy consumption, improve air quality, improve human health, and increase outdoor recreation opportunities.
