Inscription.

Hurricane Juan struck Halifax on September 29, 2003, devastating the Halifax Public Gardens. A volunteer-led foundation was formed to raise funds and restore the Gardens and historic Horticultural Hall.

This fountain and plaza were dedicated on Natal Day, August 6, 2007 by His Worship Mayor Peter Kelly and Robert L. Pace, Chairman, Public Gardens Foundation, to recognize the tireless efforts and work to restore and revitalize one of Canada's public treasures.
