The Roppe Hospital and Solidarity Dispensary
In 1967, Tejutla was one of the places chosen by God to be the host of the Belgian mission, headed by the Rev. Juan Vander Vaeren, Nurse Marlen Spaas Josten, Nurse Nini Spaas Josten and other missionary people, both lay and religious, among them Rev. Juan María Boxus, who worked tirelessly for many years helping our people. On January 20, 1979, the unforgettable and remembered Marlen Spaas Josten passed away piously, leaving in the hearts of all the noble memory of her charitable hand mitigating the moments of suffering and pain of the sick.
The remodeling that we see today is thanks to the kindness and help of friends of Belgium and the Netherlands that provide their moral and economic support to the Hospital and Dispensary. Those that continue to support include: The Spaas Josten Family, The Honings Sisters, Dr. Cleasse, Rita Gielen, Congregation Sisters of María, schoolchildren and so many people who join this gesture to continue providing care to people who come in search of the recovery of their health. The Tejutla Solidarity Committee, Administration and people of Tejutla represent with this tablet
