Regarding “Trees of Santa Monica”. George Hastings (1875-1964) self-published the book in 1944. The full title was “Trees of Santa Monica: Described and Located by Streets.” It was 112 pages long. In 1956 he revised and rewrote it. This edition was 155 pages. Grace Heintz (1905–2000) updated Hastings’ work in 1976 and 1981. In 1989 she wrote and published “Trees of Santa Monica: A Supplement.”
