Location. 34° 55.104′ N, 85° 14.82′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. It can be reached from Brotherton Road west of Alexander Bridge Road, on the left when traveling west. This marker is located in the National Military Park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, and is situated along a park walking trail that runs south from the Brotherton Road, and through the woods to the east and south of the Brock Field. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service, “Marker is located within the Chickamauga Battlefield in the woods east of Brock Field at map site #211.". Touch for map. More about this marker. I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this marker and the marker's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets. According to the map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System).”
