This Brigade, with Jackson's on its right and Wright's on its left, formed a few hundred yards in rear of this position. It first met resistance on this line, and advanced rapidly to the crest next north of it where it became engaged with troops of the right of Johnson's, and the left of Palmer's Union Divisions. After two hours severe fighting and forcing the Union line back some 600 or 800 yards, the Brigade was replaced by Strahl's and retired to the ground of its first formation.

More about this marker. I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this tablet and the tablet's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets. According to the map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System).”
